I certainly relate to Martha. So much to do and so little time. Martha certainly doesn't have her "to do" list prioritized either. She must have spent many a frustrating day knowing what needs to stay at the top of the list but her seemingly "havetos" crowd out #1...quiet time - praising God and beginning each day with Him. It works. My day is always better when I remember to start with #1.

I think I identify an awful lot with Sarah. She appeals to my sense of humor--sometimes even when I know I shouldn't be laughting! I especially like the lines in today's Journal"Christianity is not meant be be all smiles." "Christianity is not meant to be all tears." Thank you for that!

I'd aspire to be Peter's mother-in-law, cured and serving. The cure hasn't come yet, and that greatly limits my serving.

I have a fire in my belly like Jeremiah. There is a message that the world so needs to hear proclaimed. Pastor Jim does this so well and I...well lets just say I do the best I can. The message is God's unconditional love for each of us. To quote Ann LaMotte, "God loves you just the way you are, and God loves you too much to let you stay that way." AMEN

Johnny, I too have physical infirmities but there are amazing graces that come along with what we label afflictions. They aren't always obvious and life isn't always easy, but they are there like hidden treasure to be discovered. I would encourage you to read "From Age-ing to Sage-ing by Rabbi Schachter-Shalomi. IHis book is an invitation to see beyond our physical deterioration to the wisdom and gifts that we have to offer our world. Through his eyes, you might find some new ways to see your future. I'll be praying for you.

I have had a life threatening change in my physical and mental status.

I sorta feel like one of the leppers. I am disabled for life at a young age(57).

The Lord saw fit to give me the strength to endure my physical problems, and the wisdom to live with the hand I was delt with.

I most relate to Peter. I am impulsive, easily discouraged and full of ideas. Yet through all this I am deeply loved by the Lord.

I identify with Martha. Many times I am too occupied with busyness to listen to the Lord.
